Nice Things #3

I cannot believe we’re at the start of March already – the first two months of the year have disappeared so quickly! I hope 2015 is treating you well so far. Here is my list of nice/amusing/yummy/interesting/cute things I have stumbled upon and wanted to share.

  • The trailer for the BBC’s adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s “Casual Vacancy” was released a few weeks ago. In case you haven’t seen it, check it out here! I loved having something else by Rowling to read and think she does a great job of weaving stories together from different perspectives.
  • Keeping on the bookish train of thought, I think this one looks like a good read.
  • If you need something to permanently brighten your workspace (or any room, really), why not pick a nice hand-illustrated print? This one from Emma Block on Etsy is one of my favourites.
  • Looking for some cute downloadables? Check out Kaleidoscope’s blog where she posts free smartphone wallpapers, desktop planners, and gift tags.
  • Prepare yourself for what is quite possibly THE cutest thing in the WORLD. Okay. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Here you go.

Have you had a good week? What are you looking forward to this month?

Those Emma Block prints are gorgeous! I think I have a busy March but need to buy myself a new diary as my wall calendar isn't really doing it for me. I've joined a photo challenge blog group with monthly posts which should be fun and I'm teaching myself Photoshop. I've also signed up for BWP 2.0 which I think starts at the end of March. x

Aren't they, Karen? I'm so happy I bought some – can't wait for them to arrive!

Yes, March is shaping up to be a busy one for me also. I couldn't get anything done without my diary so I can definitely understand needing to find one.

That blog group sounds great! Which one is it? I'm also teaching myself Photoshop! Well, I plan to. I'm looking to make my own logo for my Etsy shop so I really need to hone those skills.

I'm ALSO doing BWP 2.0 – I swear I'm not copying you! 😛 Glad to know I'll see at least one familiar name!

Thanks so much for stopping past, Karen 😀 x

  3. Pia

Jeez Count Me In looks really interesting, and so does her first book, and how much cute, love and dedication is there in those tiny jumpers?! So inspiring. Your list somehow made me feel a little less freaked out that it's MARCH already.Seriously, it's nuts x

Awww yay – I'm so glad, Pia! It has gone absurdly quickly, hasn't it? I am actually looking forward to next year so part of me doesn't mind if this year is going quickly but, at the same time, there are some important things I need to do THIS year in order to make NEXT year happen so I'm also not liking it going to fast! It's a very complex feeling.

Yes, I thought it looked intriguing, too, though lord knows I have enough books to read at the moment 😛

Hehe I just loved that penguin jumper story so much. It really brightened my day when I read it.

Thanks for your lovely comment, Pia! x

I'll have you know that those darn penguins saved me on Monday. I had a quick peek at your blog in the middle of the day at work (on my tea break of course!) and they totally pulled me out of the work-slog/ brain-mush for a few minutes. So thanks for that! The rest of your list is great too. I love that print too and her other work is beautiful. Those photographs are so interesting and say a lot about how we can use technology to manipulate our view of the world – though in this case I guess they're simply using the technology to capture the light in a certain way. I hope your March is good. Mine is already going to quickly! Keep these lists coming!

Awww yay! That makes me so happy to hear, Laura! You are more than welcome 🙂

I'm SO excited for my prints to arrive but I have only just realised I actually have no space in which to hang them. So…that will be interesting. I might have to rotate my frames.

Yes, I found the photographs really interesting too – I had sort of assumed I would always prefer the bright, well-lit ones but I actually found the darker ones more intriguing and like they held more of a story.

My March is going okay thanks – so far, so good. Quite busy and therefore also going very fast. Hope yours is shaping up well, despite disappearing quickly.

Thanks for your comment as always, Laura. And thanks for the feedback on the lists! I enjoy compiling them but it's always good to hear what the readers are thinking! x
