A Snapshot of Two Cities #8

Wowee…Isabel and I have been doing A Snapshot of Two Cities for eight weeks! How crazy is that? Isabel is back in China now, after her Japanese jaunt, and she has another great photo. I love seeing people set up shop somewhere and making an afternoon, or maybe a whole day, of spending time doing something they enjoy. It looks like a lovely social little chess group, too! Definitely a good reminder to get out there and do something you love with nice people.

Last Saturday was my anniversary with Mr. birdandfox. To celebrate, we went to Phillip Island to see the fairy penguins! Photography of the actual penguins isn’t allowed (which is fair enough, the poor little things already have a bunch of weird looking humans staring at them – adding bright flashes of light probs won’t help), but I did manage to get some nice shots of the beautiful scenery. It was super chilly but so stunning and a lovely trip all round. I might even write a little blog post about it and show some more photos.

A Snapshot of Two Cities is a collaborative project between myself and Isabel from Nanjing Nian. We take a photo of something that catches our eye each week and post the photos on our blogs. We hope you enjoy looking at the differences and similarities between the two cities and cultures, and also just some pretty pictures. You can read more about it in the first posting.

Yay! You’re blog’s back up! What a nice thing to do for your anniversary. I agree, better not to take photos of the penguins, but you can make up for it with beautiful scenery shots like this. Stunning x

Yeah, we like to try and do things or go places for our anniversaries. It’s good fun plus it saves having to think of a good present!

Thanks very much ๐Ÿ™‚ So many gorgeous shots to take down there. I loved it…though the drive was a little long ๐Ÿ˜›
